Thermal printer · Nepal

KOT and bill printer, Rs 12,000 — set up for you.

An 80mm thermal printer for kitchen tickets and customer bills, connected to TableSathi and working from day one. Or bring the thermal printer you already have.

One price, and it already works

Rs 12,000 buys an 80mm thermal printer that we configure and test with TableSathi for you, so your first KOT prints the day you start. Most printer listings in Nepal sell you the box and leave the rest to you; the hard part is never the printer, it is getting the billing software to talk to it.

  • 80mm paper — the standard width for KOTs and customer bills
  • Thermal, so no ink or ribbon: only paper rolls
  • Configured and tested with TableSathi before it reaches you
  • Prints KOT, BOT, void slips and PAN/VAT bills

Or bring your own printer

Already have a thermal printer? Keep it. TableSathi prints to standard ESC/POS thermal receipt printers over USB or the local network, through the TableSathi print agent on a Windows or Linux computer at the cafe. If you are not sure about your model, send us its name on WhatsApp and we will tell you before you buy anything.

How many printers do you need?

One is enough for a small cafe: bills and kitchen tickets come out of the same printer. Add a second when the kitchen is a separate room, so KOTs print where the cooking happens and bills print at the counter. A bar with its own counter can take a third for BOTs. Each printer is told what to print — bills, orders, or both — and TableSathi routes every ticket to the right one.

How the KOT system works in Nepal→

Printing does not need the cafe Wi-Fi

Waiters take orders on their own phones, on Wi-Fi or mobile data. The order goes to TableSathi in the cloud, and the print agent at the cafe collects it and prints — so a phone on mobile data still prints a KOT in the kitchen. When an item is cancelled, a void slip prints at the same station so nothing gets cooked by mistake.

Questions

Common questions.

What is the price of a thermal printer in Nepal?+

Prices for an 80mm thermal receipt printer in Nepal vary by brand and by connection — a network model typically costs more than a USB one. TableSathi sells an 80mm thermal KOT and bill printer for Rs 12,000, configured and tested with the billing software before it reaches you, so it prints from the first day. You can also use a thermal printer you already own.

What is a KOT printer?+

A KOT printer is a thermal receipt printer placed in the kitchen that prints the kitchen order ticket the moment a waiter sends an order. It is the same kind of printer as the bill printer at the counter; what makes it a KOT printer is that the billing software sends it the kitchen’s part of each order. With TableSathi, food goes to the kitchen printer as a KOT and drinks to the bar printer as a BOT.

Do I need a billing machine, or can I use a computer?+

You do not need a dedicated billing machine. TableSathi runs on the phones, tablets and computers you already have; the only hardware it needs is a thermal printer if you want paper bills and KOTs. The printer connects by USB or network to a Windows or Linux computer at the cafe, which runs the small TableSathi print agent.

Can I use my existing printer?+

Usually, yes. TableSathi works with standard ESC/POS thermal receipt printers connected over USB or the local network. Send us the model name on WhatsApp and we will confirm before you spend anything. If it does not work, the printer we sell is Rs 12,000 and set up for you.
